With the Triangle now the home of 30 or more game development companies- a cluster making it the 3rd largest gaming hub in the country- local industry leaders want to give the sector a higher profile. And how better to do that than hold a conference.
The first ever Triangle Game Conference is scheduled for the Raleigh Convention Center, April 29-30. The event is being put on by the Triangle Game Initiative, a Raleigh-Durham trade association representing those 30 plus firms and their combined workforce of over 1,000.
The company backers of the event include some of the region's leading names-Epic Games, Insomniac, Red Storm, Destineer, Themis Media, Emergent, and Virtual Heroes.
In addition to over 35 different lectures and panels, the conference will also feature a two-day Expo, a game development university and career fair in the City Center Ballroom. For more information, go to www.trianglegameconference.com.
